Aylesbury College

A variety of vacancies are available.  

Aylesbury College provides education and training for approximately 4,500 part-time students and 1,000 full-time students.  

It is a ‘traditional’ FE College, operating a wide range of vocational courses including hospitality and catering, construction, care, hair and beauty and sport. A range of A Levels and GCSEs are also available.  

Founded in 1962, Aylesbury College of Further Education (as it was then known) was maintained by Buckinghamshire County Council until incorporation in 1993. The College serves a population of 640,000, based in Buckinghamshire (excluding Milton Keynes) and Aylesbury Vale. Aylesbury has been identified as the site of substantial new housing development, proposals suggest up to 31,000 new dwellings and up to 28,000 jobs by 2031. In addition, a further 28,000 dwellings are predicted in the Vale as a whole by 2031.  

The College is directed by a Governing Body of 20 members, of whom the majority live and/or work in the local community. The Governing Body has an active committee structure covering: Learning, Staff and Quality; Audit; Finance, General Purposes, Governance and Search.
