Workability Bucks

I first became involved with Ian shortly before settlement of his personal injury claim. At that stage he was heavily dependent upon his parents for help and support and had difficulty dealing with the day to day running of his life. His parents have been very supportive throughout Ian’s case and he would not be in the position he is today without their help and guidance.

We are now 5 years on and it is amazing how Ian has developed over that period. He has bought and furnished his own house, which is intended to become the family home should he marry and have children, and has travelled to Australia on what sounded like a fantastic exploring holiday.

In addition to assistance from his parents, however, the specialist help and support – particularly in relation to voluntary work and subsequent paid employment – which Ian has received from the head injury unit, The Camborne Centre in Aylesbury has been absolutely invaluable.

In terms of work, Ian has now moved back into the field of IT , which he was in prior to his accident, but now he assists with the management of an information website for people with disabilities.

Over the time I have known Ian, I have seen his confidence grow and I am in full admiration of the way he has coped with his problems and am sure he will go on from strength to strength.
